Click book now for further details, available dates and to confirm your place. If you don't see something to suit please get in touch to create your own experience.

Courses with us will typically include the following but can be adjusted to suit your specific requirements:

Introduction to the tools
A professional quality carving kit will be provided but students will get the chance to learn about and try a whole range of advanced tools and techniques should they wish.

Stone Carving
You will learn how to turn your idea in to a finished piece of sculpture using the included tool kit and materials. Expert guidance will be provided to help you understand the tools and how best to use them. Harder and more exotic materials like marble or alabaster can be sourced for the more experienced students. Obviously it is expected that you take your carving home with you. Please bring a sketch, photo, object or model to use as inspiration on the day.

Lunch, snacks and refreshments
Light vegetarian lunch and snacks provided along with tea and coffee. Please bring any extra food you need to keep you going and alert us of any dietary requirements ahead of the course.

Courses will normally be inline with a normal working 9-5 day with a lunch break and refreshments.

Further guidance
We will happily give further information upon where to buy tools and materials and can give ongoing support if you wish to continue carving at home.

Safety precautions

Health and safety precautions will be covered and personal protective equipment will be included. We recommend you wear protective footwear during the course and bring sun cream in the summer. Please be aware you will get a bit dusty so bring appropriate clothing.
Create your own experience
We are more than happy to tailor an experience to meet your requirements and skill level. Perhaps you and a group of friends have an idea of a group carving activity or you already know the basics and want specific help to move on to the next chapter in your pursuit of stone working skills. Please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your requirements and craft a really special experience for you.
